Wikileaks
LONDON - WikiLeaks said that detailed information on their Twitter account will be investigated by the U.S. government. Meanwhile, WikiLeaks refuse those orders.

WikiLeaks said on Saturday (01/08/2011) that U.S. investigators had gone to San Francisco, the headquarters of Twitter Inc. to ask for contact information, secret messages, and other data relating to Julian Assange and colleagues at WikiLeaks. Similarly, as quoted from Philly.com, Sunday (01/09/2011). And until now, the Twitter refuses to give a statement.

WikiLeaks also said that they suspect that other U.S. Internet companies have also been approached by the U.S. government, as part of the investigation.

U.S. authorities are examining the possibility to sue WikiLeaks along with their staff, related to some leakage of classified information to embarrass and damage the image of the U.S. government.

CALIFORNIA - developer of popular games, Zynga, has purchased the site of social browser, Flock. In the meantime, detailed information regarding the acquisition have not been announced officially. Similarly, as quoted from the IT ProPortal, Saturday (01/08/2011).

Flock Web browsers allow users to browse websites while still connected with social networking platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Digg and YouTube.

Social browser was first launched in 2005, and managed to collect money funding of US$10 million. Number of Flock users is approximately 10 million people. In addition, Flock also ranked second in the top 10 list of desktop applications on Facebook.

"With more than a quarter billion users, Zynga has strong followers all over the world. An understanding of social games and they will be what users want, was much admired," wrote Shawn Hardin, CEO of Flock, in his blog. "Our team will help Zynga achieve their goal to build a fun social game and is available to anyone, anytime, and on any platform," added Hardin.

Twitter Spreads to Afghanistan Through SMS
KABUL - Afghanistan's telecom operators began to open up access to Twitter. Although still rely on SMS, access is guaranteed to be excellent.

Roshan, a telecommunications operator in Afghanistan, which could introduce a mobile Twitter posting tweets via SMS through mobile phones. This service is for customers in Roshan, especially young children.

According to Ladak, communications and information ministry of Afghanistan realize that most active internet users in the country visiting social networking sites. With this service they will be easier to socialize in cyberspace.

Twitter mobile itself is not the first social networking service provided to its Roshan customers. The company is the pioneer service operator that offers access to Facebook, Hi5, as well as the Blackberry service.
