CALIFORNIA - Micro-Star International (MSI) are interested to bring notebooks based on AMD ultrathin Yukon in mid-October 2009.

As reported by Digitimes, Sunday (23/8/2009), MSI reportedly has conducted testing on a notebook that was the Yukon platform. After the test, a PC vendor that seems to be very satisfied with the generated performance of AMD Yukon. Unfortunately, MSI reluctant to disclose more certainty the date of release.

MSI desire to use AMD Yukon because it can make notebooks more affordable prices, with the ability to master. In fact, the ability also claimed was on Intel's flagship processor on the market a netbook, Atom.

AMD efforts to bring the Yukon platform to avoid the technology gap between the notebook to the netbook. Performance of lower-priced netbooks usually low, while the upper class notebook that provides high performance expensive appreciated.

Meanwhile, the launch of AMD notebook platform Tigris will likely be delayed until the end of October. Certain unknown reasons the delay.

AMD platforms formerly Tigris is expected to start in early September launched along with Windows 7 markets in Asia, followed by North America, Eastern Europe and the Middle East in October.

Some vendors said to have ordered products to be embedded with AMD Tigris, like Hewlett-Packard (HP), Toshiba, Acer, and ASUSTeK Computer
