Apple removes API Jailbreak Detector

Quietly and without explanation, Apple has removed the jailbreak detector API in iOS. The reason Apple eliminates the API is still a mystery, but they insist will be able to find out if devices like the iPhone, iPad Touch, and the iPad has been modified.

Jailbreak allows users to use other applications than applications are available on the iTunes App Store. Jailbreak is not new, and can be done by using some application like Skype that can not be installed on iPhones that have been modified.

Jailbreak is a serious threat to Apple, even though the user is not aware of the dangers that may arise from malware when downloading an application from a third party.

API that came through applications such as AirWatch and Afaria, can access information and features of iOS and its apparatuses. But after iOS version 4.2, this service is stopped for no apparent reason, and Apple has not commented on this.
