Porsche Panamera S Hybrid

Porsche rumored to be taking part in the hybrid car market by presenting the Panamera S Hybrid. The plan, this luxury sedan will be introduced in next March. Porsche claims that the Panamera will be the most economical Porsche's product, with 6.8 liters fuel consumption for 100 km distance, or 20.38 kilometers per liter.

Porsche Panamera S Hybrid uses some support device for fuel efficiency, one of whom is using Michelin tires with low rolling resistance level. In addition to fuel economy, this car is also environmentally friendly, because it produces CO2 only 159 g/km.

Conventional engine and electric motor that carried this Panamera S Hybrid exactly the same as those used by the Porsche Cayenne hybrid. 3000cc V6 supercharged engine capable of producing 333 horsepower, while the electric motor-powered 47 horsepower. With the combination of these two power sources, the Panamera hybrid has 380 hp power. Power is transmitted through the 8 speed of Tiptronic S transmission.

Interestingly, the electric power source will be filled automatically by the braking process. When the driver brakes, the wasted energy will be recycled into electricity and stored in nickel metal hydride batteries.
