USB version 3.0 was introduced in September 2007 at the Intel Developer Forum and inaugurated a new version 1.0 in November 2008.

Features offered include:
  • A high speed, the 5.0 Gbit / s using the Dual-simplex protocol through 4 additional cable that will be separate from the USB 2.0 signaling, so speeds will get 5.0 Gbit / s.
  • Supports data transfer with full duplex
  • Power management make USB 3.0 can be set on the idle, sleep, and suspend state
  • Using 8B10B encoding, Linear Feedback Shifter Register (LFSR) for scrambling the data, spread spectrum, where the receiver must use the Low Frequency Periodic signaling (LFPS), dynamic equalization, and training sequences to ensure a quick signal lock
  • Additional cable is not a problem as the USB 2.0. You can use the additional cable along without any affect speed. However, if you want a full-speed, cable length should not more than 3 meters.
